First I would like to comment on the Trip limit. According to your comments regarding the alternatives I am in favor of a 1500 lb trip limit as it would result in a lower revenue reduction than the prefered option as the revenue gains from a longer season would outweigh revenue loses due to lower trip limits. The current lack of trip limit makes it a derby sector with more than 75% of the ACL being harvested by 4 vessels in Jan /Feb.. As a small business owner and operator AJ plays a major roll in my profitability when it can be harvested for a majority of the year as opposed to just 2 months. Second I believe that both commercial and recreational sectors should be closed concurrent to have the least amount of impact during the spawn season March-May.
