THE AMERICAN PUBLIC DOES NOT WANT ADDITIONAL EXEMPTIONS GIVEN TO PALS OF NOAA. FAR TOO OFTEN THESE GOVT AGENCIES GET SPECIAL PALS WHO GET ALL KINDS OF SPECIAL FAVORS, THAT THE GENERAL PUBLIC DOES NOT GET. FOR EXAMPLE, REOPENING THE COMMENT PERIOD IS SUCH AN EXAMPLE. THE FISH COUNCIL HAD AS MUCH TIME AS THE GENERAL PUBLIC HAD TO COMMENT AND SHOULD HAVE COMMENTED WITHIN THE TIME FRAME GIVEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC.WE DO NOT WANT MORE REDFISH CAUGHT AND DO NOT WANT MORE OF TEH NEW ENGLAND COD SITUATION WHERE THE SPECIES GOES EXTINCT TO TAKE PLACE - NOAA MANAGED THAT ONE TOO. WE WANT A SMALLER QUOTA FOR REDFISH. I OPPOSE THE COMMENT PERIOD BEING REOPENED FOR SPECIAL PALS. THESE PROFITEERS HAVE AN OBLIGATION TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC OF 300 MILLION US CITIZENS. MAY I REMIND NOAA OF THE PUBLIC TRUST LAW WHICH PUTS ALL ANIMALS IN THE PUBILC TRUST, THEY WERE NOT THRUST INTO THE HANDS OF COMMERCIAL PROFITEERS AS NOAA PRESENTLY ADMINISTERS REDFISH.
