At Orange Beach, AL area we are over-run with Red Snapper. With the number of Red Snapper caught and released each year I do not agree with the one per person limit season. (Recreational). I agree with reporting the catch and dead loss as I currently do with a weekly survey call from Mobile. Also information of opening and closing dates will be helpful. I like the thought of fishing on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays if it will extend our current short season but I feel the area we are fishing shouldn't be limited to one fish per person. With that being said I would like to see the data to support this decision. I haven't seen any information that the season for Red Snapper should be cut. I would like to see current Red Snapper stock appraisals versus previous years appraisals. This is just hard for me to wrap my head around knowing the Red Snapper condition within our area.
