Regarding Recreational: Many enjoy fishing weekdays when ramps and water is uncrowded. Opposed to 3 day weekend requirement Agree with removal of 20" min size, HOWEVER, the best way to reduce mortality is to make the rule "No Discard" and allow 2 fish per angler vs. 1. You catch it you keep it, up to 2, is a practical solution. (The reality is people now discard under 20" fish and too often these discards die. Stop the discard, let us keep 2 and you will find support among recreational group). As to Commercial: if the 20" limit is removed, I am concerned too many small fish will be kept, reducing the long term potential of the fishery. Lastly: please be transparent in the process of calculations of estimated catch and discard. Lack of transparency, in part, has led to mistrust of recent decisions.
