NOAA TAKES SO LONG TO MAKE A RULING THE SHARKS WILL ALL BE DEAD BY THE TIME THEY GET AROUND TO IT. BECAUSE OF THAT AN EMERGENCY REGULATION NEEDS TO GO INTO PLACE TO PROTECT ALL SHARK SPECIES FROM THE VENALITY OF COMMERCIAL FISH PROFITEERS. THAT ONE SHOULD STAND TO PROTECT UNTIL THE FINAL ONE COMES UP IN 20 YEARS. NOAA TOOK 20 YEARS TO IMPLEMENT THE MAGNUSON STEVENS ACT SO IT WILL TAKE AT LEAST THAT LONG TO ACT ON SHARKS. EVERY SHARK SHOULD BE PROTECTED IN OUR WATERS. IT IS TIME. THE ASSAULT ON THIS SPECIES HAS BEEN ENORMOUS. THERE IS NO REASON TO MAINTAIN A SHARK FISHERY AT ALL. ANY 2006 FMP IS SO HOPELESSLY OUTDATED IN 2013 IT SHOWS A LAX GOVT AGENCY REFUSING TO KEEP UP TO DATE ON THING IN THIS WORLD WHICH ARE MOVING FASTER AND FASTER. THIS IS EONS AGON 2006. OUR USA GOVT IS LAGGING BADLY. WE NEED SOME CHANGES IN MGT AND STAFF IN THIS AGENCY. OBAMA PROMISED CHANGE AND TRANSPARENCY. WHERE IS IT? WHY ARE WE USING 2006 INFORMATION IN 2013 HALF OVER?
