Hello, Thank you for proposing to change the process by which new sanctuaries are proposed. I believe your criteria are good and consider all necessary categories. I believe your process must be amended. Specifically, if I understand criteria #2 correctly, community advocates of a proposed nomination must submit scientific and other information regarding the proposed sanctuary. This could be quite an expensive undertaking, and local communities may not have the resources to provide this information. Often, sanctuaries develop well-organized advocacy groups that could provide this information once they are established--not before establishment. I believe that if you want to keep comment #2, you must find some way to support collection of this information. Thanks, Christine
