I am against the proposed interim rule allowing snowmobiles in Yellowstone.
Many rounds of scientific studies and public comments have overwhelmingly
favored a "no snowmobile" alternative, allowing motorized access by snowcoach
and non-motorized access by skis and showshoes. You must protect the park,
it's wildlife, and the quality of the visitor experience. The park does not exist to
provide profit for businesses outside the park, so their complaints should not be
considered. They can switch to snowcoaches and skis or move someplace else.
Also, the East Entrance should not be opened for machines in winter, due to the
cost and danger of avalanche control.
