I DO NOT support the proposal to limit & / or stop ORV from traveling on the beaches in the Outer Banks. Mainly Hatteras Island. What the National park service has done is crippling Hatteras Island. That's why people come to the Outer Banks is to be able to ride on the beaches. I have been going to Hatteras Island for over 35 years & there are more birds & sea turtles on that Island than ever. Driving on the beaches is not causing a problem except for a few special interest groups. Let we the people decide. It's a national park service, we the people pay for this park & because of a few birds, turtles & special interest groups you are destroying peoples lives. A birds life is more important than a human? Come on. They didn't shut down JFK's runway for long periods of time last week for the turtles to cross did they? This past year has been bad on Hatteras Island. Alot of tourist have stop coming because they cannot drive of the beaches anymore. Please do NOT support banning 4x4 vehicles on the beaches in the Outer Banks. I have lived & worked on Hatteras Island for years off & on & I have never seen it so bad down there due to not being able to drive on the beaches. The Outer Banks is one of the most beautiful places in our country & because of a hand full off special interest groups so many lives are being destoyed & we the people are losing one of the most beautiful National Parks that we pay for to a few birds & turtles. Up until this past year we the people , the birds & turtles have all done just fine on the Outer Banks. These special interest groups need to find something else to complain about. Leave us alone !!!!! Please help !!!
