In this period of economic down turn, it appears that the Outer Banks to include Cape Hatteras National Seashore would be promoting the best we have to offer to those loyal visitors, fishermen, surfers, campers, and lesson the restrictions for off-road vehicles access to as much of the seashore as possible. The life line for visitors is a short period of time and the local year-round residents know they are being restricted from places they have known and gone most their lives. Please consider opening as much of the seashore as possible to those vistiors and locals to enjoy what nature has provided.
