Please revise the winter use rule for Yellowstone National Park to significantly limit the number of snowmobiles and snow coaches allowed into the Park on a daily basis. Wildlife is negatively impacted by the noise and commotion created by these machines, and winter is by far the hardest season on Park wildlife. There is no benefit in putting wildlife at risk for the benefit of a few. Further, the environmental impact is significant. Air quality is negatively impacted, and this has been documented. The use of hybrid vehicles seems to make the most sense if YNP insists on bringing individuals into the Park during the winter season. While I understand the financial constraints placed upon the Parks by the slashing of federal funding, there must be some other answer to raise funds other than by harming wildlife and polluting the Park.
