I have been assisted other cititzens after disasters, as a disaster reservist for more than 20 years. At times my health policy for my family cost more than $1200 per month -- even when I had zero income (because there were no active disasters and/or I was not deployed anywhere to help). That is a hardship that hard working, intermittent employees should not have to bear. Access to a "group" policy is long overdue.
