The ABQLFT should apply to Saccharin use as well as Bitrex. I have fit-tested over 2000 individuals for the N-95 respirator in Healthcare facilities and find that if the respirator is going to leak it does so immediately. The 1 minute exercises lengthens the process for healthcare workers and takes extremely valuable time away from patient care. By reducing the time, I am sure the compliance with 1910.134 will dramatically increase with the bottom line being that no delination in testing will be realized. Ronald M. Bishop, MPH, CIH Ronald M.
