I am an Employee Health RN. We annually fit test staff who enter airborne isolation rooms for protection against TB. Approximately 95% of staff taste the Bitrex in 2-3 squeezes of the sensitivity solution. I agree that most staff are highly sensitive to bitrex and do not need 60 seconds for each exercise. The staff that need over 10 squeezes would need the 60 second length exercise. In finalizing this proposal, you would be saving time and cost for hospitals without losing effectiveness of the testing. Catherine A. Jensen, Ministry Health Care
