Standard on Powered Platforms for Building Maintenance; Extension of the Office of Management and Budgets (OMB) Approval of Information Collection (Paperwork) Requirements

I am Tom Brunner a working professional in the powered platform industry with Tractel Ltd. Swingstage Division, a provider of powered platforms for safe building maintenance and access. I share that the information collection requirements are indeed necessary not only for the performance of OSHA's functions but to help ensure the safety of all working men and women using powered platforms to safely access elevated structures as was intended. Just as interior passenger elevators and their documented certification provide safe vertical access for a buildings occupants, powered platforms and their documented certification, inspection and service help ensure safety for workers requiring "exterior vertical access".
