illegal immigrants are part of the reson for increased accidents in this field. they
dont know how to do the work, are hired as day labor. some say that these kinds
of workers purposely get hurt to go on disability.
osha itself does not fine employers enough for these accidents. the fact is that
careful operations can reduce 99% of these accidents. the problem is that
employers are profiteers first and foremost and really dont care because the govt
funds take care of the liability. we need to increase fines on employers who are
responsible. you can prevent more than 99% of accidents actually by making sure
you are careful BEFORE you act. employers allow negligence. they are in fact
encouraging accidents by hiring day laborers who dont even have the least idea
how to do the work. i blame employers. the fines should be increased five
thousand percent on employers who have accidents. we dont want workers hurt.
emploeyrs in the united states, under this bush admnistration, have been getting
away with murder. they get huge retirement funds like $400 million a year, and
their worrkers get the shaft. the bush cheney administration definitely has a policy
that does not protect the working person. we need a change from the horror of this
administration which is lax in making sure workers are protected.
pay the working man decent wages instead of the dept of labor bringing in foreign
labor to wage bust. this same dept that is the cause of these problems, allowing
millions of laborers to enter the united states when the us has a 6% to 20%
unemployment problem. americans should be getting the jobs, not the traitorous
us dept of labor flooding the labor market with foreign labor, which is what it is
doing.
our govt agencies seem to be working for profiteers and not helping american
citizens at all. us dept of labor is part of the problem here. they get their
instructions from the crooked slimy politicians in washington dc.
