HCWs working in surgery are exposed to a wide array of infectious agents in a number of ways, but none is more insidious and pervasive than the plume of "smoke" that we are exposed to almost countinuously on a daily basis. Please protect us via requirement to evacuate this noxious stew of infectious particles, since as noted there is very little compliance with voluntary recommendations currently.
