Comment from Peckham, Geoffrey; ANSI Z535 Safety Sign and Color Committee

As Chair of the ANSI Z535 committee, I would like the opportunity to speak to the Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health in favor of the proposed rule to update the OSHA standard for safety signs to the latest version of the consensus standards, the ANSI Z535.2 Standard for Environmental and Facility Safety Signs, and the ANSI Z535.1 Safety Color Code. My comments will focus on how the newer Z535 standards give safety professionals the up-to-date tools they need to more effectively communicate safety in the workplace.
