Hazardous Materials: Incorporation of Special Permits into Regulations

Arkema Inc. applauds PHMSA's effort to incorporate widely used special permits into the 49CFR regulations. This reduces the paperwork burden and facilitates commerce without compromising safety. It is hoped that Special Permits and Approvals Office will continue to review special permits that are held by several parties and consider incorporating those into the hazmat regulations where safety is not being compromised.
