My name is Ron Wilbourn, and I am the GM for the Dusty Farm Co-op in Lacrosse, Washington. We are a small fertilizer and chemical retailer. DOT has proposed to incorporate SP-10950 into the rugulations. I fully support this idea. Our co-op is small and belonging to a group helps us stay current and within the regulations. Since 2007, we have transported many, mant tons of anhydrous ammonia without one spill or accident. We are very conscious of our resepnsibility! I feel this proposal should be moved to fina action as soon as possible.
Secondly, the DOT has proposed to incorporate SP-13554 into the regulations as well. This regulation authorizes the transport of anhydrous ammonia in nurse tanks with the missing or illegible iD plate. I support the incorporation of this regulation as soon as possible also!
Lastly, I would request that the FMCSA regulations concerning "hours of service" be made standard througout the ag industry. so that all regulations reflect a 100 mile distribution point exemption for farm supplies, including anhydrous ammonia.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely, Ron Wilbourn
