Rural Microentrepreneur Assistance Program

These programs have worked very well in developing countries. Helping individuals gain the resources they need to be entrepreneurial and requiring repayment through loans provides for potentially empowering experiences for these individuals. Programs such as this are especially needed in rural areas, which have been particularly devastated by losses in manufacturing jobs to developing countries and the recent downturn in the economy.
