I own a woman owned small "Specialty Metals" Company that does business with
the Gov't sometimes through the Primes as well as other industries.
When a RFQ comes out with a Small Business addendum that still applies to
what we consider med/large firms. It doesn't become a even playing field when we
compete against 750- 1000 employees. Our reputation is impeccable.
What I would like to see are opportunities for us to partner with other Small
businesses to do a consortium of suppliers. Also it appears that with the time
given being a small company we can't complete a Quote within the timeframe
and that the buyer already knows where they are getting it.
If the legislation does nothing else, please find a cost effective way for us WOSB
to let you know we are out there and give us a chance!!!
Also the rules and regs are volumous and actual help in quoting would be great.
