Kansas has the slowest, poorest disability claim system in the US. How
someone with 3 shoulder surgeries, 6 bypasses, PTSD and prostrate cancer can
be told to go out and get a job is beyond me. I already had to prove to the VA
that I am not employable and received a disability but Social Security said that
is "not good enough" for them. After being turned down twice - even though the
cancer has metastisized - I have had to hire an attorney to get a hearing. She
says I have a very strong case but by the time the hearing comes up in 22 to 24
months I will probably be dead. I truly think they automatically deny people and
then delay until they are dead thereby saving themselves money.
