Congratulations people of the Social Security administration. You just reached into my wallet and lowered my standard of living. I took social security last year at age 62. My benefit is $820 per month, unfortunately, my health care insurance costs are $747 per month.I was planning to take advantage of this rule, which you just changed after decades in force. I was planning to do that at age 66 or later to get a higher benefit. Now I cannot. If you are concerned about the "free loan", i would gladly pay you reasonable interest and not take the tax deduction available. You could make this change at sometime in the near future, not immediately, as you have done. You could make the change for next year or whenever , or just add interest to the payback and cancel the tax aspect. It would seem that someone read an article, and said,"oh my god, we have to change this now".
lets not.....
