It is clear that the DOT should have continued, so here we have to catch up. The original system was fine, but I agree there will be many new improvements. Computerization has made it possible that we are able to receive new data daily to update data. An equally important factor is good labor statistics. There is no universal methodology amongst all 50 states, and private companies providing data are "right protected" and their data is suspect as far as accuracy of numbers, particularly numbers broken down into the Sedentary/Light/Medium/Heavy/Very Heavy categories. Labor statistics should be available to the public. Since the early 1990's sources blend too many jobs and duties, and accurate information required for testimony is non-existant apart from a VE's actual experience. I am enthusiastic regarding this new effort!!
