I think that the Revised Medical Criteria for Evaluating Visual Disorders is a good addition to the current rule and should be implemented. The proposed rule is a direct response to problems that adjudicators were reporting in relation to this rule and the changes would be helpful in allowing adjudicators to better rule on these claims. I also think it is good that the changes are being submitted now even though the existing listings do not expire until 2015 because it will help prevent people from wrongly being denied their benefits under Social Security due to misunderstandings of the rule.
