The purpose of the form is to get information about an applicant’s mental health history and how information about the applicant can be applied to the job and job requirements. I think they can provide more evidence supporting this. I need for them to prove the accuracy of the estimate of burden and the burden on those who are responding to the form. As an applicant at another agency I can attest that filling out packets and legal forms does not have a set time. The agency estimates that the form could take an hour to complete and that there are possibly 600 applicants annually. That’s 600 hours, and that is an estimate. I believe for this number to be higher as well as the burden. I need this to be proved otherwise. I know the frustrations in filling out these forms and the timeliness needed to do it. There are too many variables in this equation to give weight to the possible burdens an applicant can face; lack of information, lack of time, full time jobs, school, workouts, family life, sickness, lack of sleep, lack of resources are just a few examples. The investigators who are evaluating the applicant’s mental history need to do what the namesake of their title is and investigate.
