RE: Support for Lake Chelan Wine Growers application for the pending
American Viticulture Area designation
To Whom It May Concern:
On behalf of the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, I am
writing to express support for the Pending American Viticulture Area, (AVA)
Designation for the Lake Chelan Valley. The Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce
recognizes the key role the wine industry plays in the economic vitality of the
Lake Chelan Valley and region.
We anticipate that this designation will bring with it great opportunities to
showcase the already beautiful Lake Chelan Valley. Further, we know and
understand the dramatic impact this type of designation has had on commerce in
other areas of our state, we expect nothing less for Lake Chelan.
The Board of Directors for the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce and the
members we represent are pleased to recommend and support this very
impressive designation.
Respectfully submitted,
Mike Steele
Executive Director
Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce
