The law for alc. % labeling needs to be stronger, larger type and / or better color contrast. Too many labels have an abv. that is too small or no contrast and can't be seen. I sell wine in a large store and wish to educate my customers about abv. levels but it is too hard to see it for many bottles. I am against any new laws for nutrition content, calories, ingredients. Wine is already regulated to be limited to only grapes, yeast, yeast nutrients, and certain practices for fining and filtering. The public largely does not care and does not need more. IT will cost a lot of money, compliance will be horrific, and nothing gained. For those few who want, let them study chemistry of winemaking BEFORE they start asking govt. for minutiae. Wine is purchased by adults, they already know it is an alcoholic beverage, they buy for the taste. Not for curing cancer.
