I am writing to encourage the TTB to adopt mandatory labeling of Cochineal Extract and Carmine in wines, distilled spirits and malt beverages. Consumers must have adequate information provided on the label to avoid these known allergens for health reasons and to identity and quality of the product (consumer choice) Thank you for making this positive change for consumers.
