Comment 1: Farella, Tom (Farella Vineyard & Farella-Park Vineyards)

It is my great pleasure to support our petition for a "Coombsville" sub-AVA in the Napa Valley. As a wine producer and grape grower for other wineries here in the Napa Valley, we are very excited to help round-out the picture in our premier growing region. I have had countless inquiries about the area, well-known in wine circles worldwide. For the consumer, it is an opportunity to learn about the location source for so many wines from our sub-region. The unique soils, climate and geography are reason enough, but we also have solid name recognition for "Coombsville" for grapegrowing, regional history, real estate and Napa County planning through the decades past and into the future. With approval of the "Coombsville" AVA, consumers will finally have a place to reference the source of so many wines from the region on the map of the Napa Valley. Tom Farella, co-author
