I have been a grape grower in the Coombsville area for over 27 years. I have watched as wine makers paid increased attention to grapes from the Coombsville area and as demand for these particular grapes grew. I sell grapes to 9 wineries and they all want more grapes from my Coombsville vineyard even though grapes are in long supply and are available from notable vineyards elsewhere. Coombsville is a unique area, being the coolest region in the Napa VAlley still suitable for Cabernet and therefore producing a unique style of wine. I strongly support the creation of the Coombsville AVA to recognize and officially define this one-of-a-kind grape growing area.
