As a grower and producer of grapes and wines from the Ballard Canyon area of the Santa Ynez Valley for the past 18 years, we are in full support of the proposed "Ballard Canyon" AVA. Clearly a unique area for growing and producing world class wines with distinction, we believe the new AVA will only help the coinsumer better understand Santa Barbara County and its wines.
