I support the proposed rule. The rule will save money and provide an easier approach to accessing listings of such property. Whereas the previous rule limited circulation to the judicial district where the property was seized, this new rule will allow an individual to access the same information from any web browser. In addition to the cost benefits and user-friendliness of the proposed rule, there are of course beneficial environmental considerations. Electronic means of notice means less paper, less ink on paper, and therefore less ink and paper released into the environment. Hopefully, other agencies will recognize all these benefits and adopt similar publication standards. I applaud this agencies promotion of such a technique. If adopted, I recommend that the rule be communicated to the public in a reasonable way and for a reasonable amount of time prior to execution in order to provide notice of the change.
