I am fully supportive of the proposal to increase the informal entry limit from $2000 to $2,500. I am especially supportive of the proposal to remove the language requiring formal entry for certain articles, formerly under the Agreement on Textiles and Clothing. These items have for far too long been subject to separate and unequal treatment when compared to other imported goods. The proposed regulations will benefit small businesses and ease regulatory burdens on the apparel industry and the rest of the importing community.
