In today’s Federal Register, the Coast Guard has announced that a public meeting on this subject is planned for 5 March in Washington DC. I would request an additional meeting be scheduled in the Pacific Northwest where the majority of the west coast international transportation companies are located. As it is impractical for small companies such as ours to attend the public meeting in Washington, it would seem beneficial to the process to hold an additional hearing in Seattle. Victoria San Juan Cruises operates on a fixed international ferry route between Bellingham, Washington and Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
