In regards to the LRIT regulation. I would apprciate some clarification or guidance in what we will need for our vessels. We operate a Canadian tug and barge from Canada. The vessel operates between Canada and the US. We work on both the Lakes and the Atlantic East Coast as far as Wilmington NC. Our tug/barge is an ATB (Articulated Tug Barge) the bareg is officially unmanned. we do have GMDSS on board the tug and AIS for the gret lakes operations. The tugs gross tonnage is 13661 The barge carries about 11,000mt of liquid asphalt. Again under the new regualtion could you please confirm what we require and when we will have to install any equipment. We are also building another ATB in China and lpan on taking posesion in Aug 2008. Many thanks in advance Adrian Mitterhuber
