In lieu of Generic boats up to 24 feet having to require the lanyard I feel you should be going by Boat type ie; any open Boat or especially center console type boats. You have Larger boats like 33' Center Console Intrepids that have up to 1000 hp or even Newer Larger open Boats with 4 O/B 's up to 1200 or so hp , these are the more dangerous type boats that one could Fall/fly out of the cockpit or from the helm . Please consider that .
