I am in favor of this regulation In 2006 I spent the night in the water (later on a buoy) after being pitched from my 19 ft CC. I spent a fair amount of time dodging a boat that was continually rounding to run me down. Had I been wearing a lanyard: the boat would have stopped and I could have boarded the boat would not have been a threat to innocent others. As it happened, the boat ran for 45 minutes in various circles influenced by the tide. That is a lot of opportunity for mayhem. I now have a larger boat and never run alone without lanyard and life jacket. If I kill myself through my stupidity so be it. If my actions cause harm to others it is inexcusable if such a simple option as a cut off is available. Thank you for your time and the opportunity to comment.
