I do not believe that it should be necessary for boaters under 26 feet to have engine override or engine kill switches. We have enough regulations concerning boating. Let the appropriate agency strictly enforce those rules now in force. Perhaps the fines and other consequences should be increased. I own an 18 feet I/O boat with a kill switch which I use but that is because I have one, not because it should be told to me through more regulations. It is appropriate to go after those that break the rules and cause the problems rather than the majority of safe boaters.
