Please do not approve Alameda's plan to restrict bridge opening times. Not only is it bad for recreational traffic and home values on the estuary, but is also unsafe. There are numerous commercial vessels which transit the estuary. If one of them has an emergency and needs to get to drydock, the bridges allow the only reasonable access.
I propose two ameniable solutions/compromises:
1.) Make the bridges available with 1 hours notice during the suggested restriction period.
2.) Extend no-notification times to 0700-2100.
Thank You!
