Killer whales are the natural enemies of Blue Whales and other species of whale. When a whale hears noises made by killer whales, the animal flees away from the sound. Perhaps all ships travelling through the area of whale feeding could be equipped with loudspeakers that broadcast the sound of killer whales so that whales in the area of the ship flee. Whales have acute hearing, so the sounds should be broadcast at low volume so that only whales near the ships will be affected. The Monterey Bay Aquarium probably has the recordings needed to get the job done.
