CDC as well as most law enforcement agencies undestand the dangers of water activities and alchohol. Considering that Bullhead City will be selling alchohol on land in the park and then people will be entering the water, combined with hot desert temperatures is not a safe mix. The Coast Guard in the interest of SAFETY should ban all alcohol in the safety zone during the float itself...Two deaths in two years of regatta is enough. It is even more dengerous because many of the attendees will be tourists who are not familiar with the climate or the dangerous sections of the river.
