I am a supporter of the Marine Propulsion Tech Thrustor. I know that this is a great piece of equipment to have on your boat. The Thrustor does increase the safety of the boat operation and negates all the prop strike that has been happening. I have personally used this equipment on six boats that I was in charge of in the Navy. while the Thrustor is installed nothing did get into our props while we operated in the Hampton Roads area. we saved money with repairs and also increased the safety of operation with this unit. If you happen to loose your steering while this unit is installed your boat will now take a hard over turn, no ejection will happen, will it turn yes but very slow enough for you to control and stop. as for anything that will strike no, you would have to completely back down while trying to hit something or someone with this unit installed. I know this equipment works or I would not have let it be introduced into the Navy thru my shop, I was skeptical but I have seen and will always support this equipment.
