With regard to any restrictions the government is thinking about enacting during the upcoming APEC meetings, I would like to point out that these "dignitaries" are guest in our state. It is the dignitaries and their staffs that should be restricted to following our federal, state, and county laws! We live in a free society and if our residents are being restricted from their normal routines (i.e. kayaking on the Ala Wai, Surfing in Waikiki, or sailing out of the boat harbor)...we are no longer free.
I suggest the Coast Guard mellow out and let our citizens go on with their everyday lives.
