I propose the early winter date be moved to October 15 as there is a traditional event where many larger vessels are traveling from Sacramento to the San Francisco Bay. This event is Fleet Week. I also have noticed the years and dates in which the survey to determine the number of vessels only included the last 2 years when the national financial crisis impacted the usage of boats by the public due to lack of funds by many boat owners. I hope this closure notice will be more open and widely sent out to boat owners within California as this proposed change to the bridge regulations has not been widely communicated to all California boat owners.
