I have recently found out that a well known fishing guide and friend George Rose has been denied his lic.renewal and his way of life after having going through a heart attach a couple years ago. Having a defibulator put in as a back up to keep him alive in case it occures again. This seems radical to me to have your means to make a living taken from you. When I seen this man come back on a full turn around. He made the changes to make his life better. The balance of eatting well excersize and following the doctors regiment has been a turning leaf in his life. I understand that the safety issues with running a boat. I've never been on his boat where someone couldn't help out or understand where the radio or flares were located. He has been denied the means to support his family when he is looking better then he was before his heart attach. I think these denials need to be on a independent issue basis. You have to understand exsactly what they do, where there doing it, and how heathy their doctor suggest they are. To put everyone in a pack and deny them because of a devise that is made to save them isn't right. The ruling needs to change. In most cases a defibulator is a choice givin after the fact by a doctor. If the people knew it would also be taking there rights to run a boat and make a living they would prefer it not be done. Then what would happen with out it? Please look at finding a new compromise that will benefit all sides.
Thanks for your time
