Submission #2
1. The Maryland Port Administration is currently developing an interoperable CCTV system to be shared with essential State of Maryland agencies. However, there are State laws which govern agency release authorities which pottential limit access to certain entities. In addition, access capabilities of many agencies, to include the U.S. Coast Guard is questionable. Microwave CCTV is an expensive tasking for the sender as well as for the receiver. In regards to alarms or alerts, the Maryland Port Administration is on-line with its law enforcement arm, the Maryland Transportation Authority Police. We so reason to further expand this field of notification.
2. As noted above, the Maryland Port Administration is in the midst of developing interoperable CCTV with significant, designated State agencies. In order for the U.S. Coast Guard-Sector Baltimore to have this capability/integration an investment of at least $500,000 would be required.
