We have problems with the proposed bridge. First, the I-5 corridor deserves a third way across the Columbia River. For example, a truck wreck this year during the morning commute on the 205 Bridge closed all South Bound Lanes and caused major traffic backups on all roads leading to the Interstate 5 Bridge. Second, we feel that the tax payers should not be held accountable to pay for any mitigation or for the relocation of the three companies that might have to move because of the low deck height of the current bridge plan. If we have to have light rail, put it on the Interstate Bridge and then build a third bridge high enough so that the companies don't have to move. A third bridge would also accomodate the traffic going from North to South. Bottom line, we need a third way across the Columbia River.
