While we understand the need for some changes, certain proposed changes will
cause undue hardship on our religious organization:
1. Such as the inability to judge whether or not a prospective religious worker
(monk) is well suited to working in the American culture and able to adjust to the
great differences in his native culture and that of the U.S.
2. The additional expense of having to file an I-129 every year and the stress of
the process, especially considering the delays in processing since the agency is
overwhelmed with paper work, this does not seem practical for either the church or
the USCIS.
