Hello The U visa regulations do not appear to account for the situation in which a foreign national is the parent of a minor US citizen child and that this child has been the victim of a crime. The foreign national parent is therefore an indirect victim and can help authorities investigate and prosecute the crime on the minor child's behalf. Please include this comment so that this situation can be considered for inclusion under the new U classification.
